Blue State Digital (BSD) is looking for rising stars to join our team. In exchange for your brilliant ideas, unmatched talent and contagious enthusiasm, we’ll teach you the tricks of some of the most successful online programs around. At the end of the Fellowship, BSD will help Fellows find full-time positions in online organizing.
Fellows’ projects may include, but aren’t limited to, supporting website launches, sales and marketing projects, building client relationships, and industry-specific research.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide creative input and criticism to strategy team's planning process.
- Write content for mass communications, including e-mails, website copy and blog posts.
- Use our web tools, and other technologies, to execute plans online.
- Monitor blogs, social networking profiles and other internet communities relevant to our clients.
- Research and write initial drafts of client briefings, memos, and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong writing, copy-editing and proof-reeding skills.
- Ability to manage several projects at once, from assignment to delivery.
- Work well with a variety of departments and key actors.
- Ability to think creatively under pressure.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Campaign staff member or experienced volunteer
- Blogging and/or knowledge of the online political space
- Video editing/production
- HTML and other website design/programming skills
- Online advertising
- Spanish Speaking
Compensation
Fellowships will last approximately three months and are full-time, paid positions based in our DC office - although exceptions could be made for the right person. BSD is an equal opportunity employer.
