Quick Donate is one of this year's best innovations in Mashable's Innovation Index - the nod from Chris Hughes felt pretty good too.
When we first developed Quick Donate, we knew we were onto a good thing. When it raised $115 million for President Obama’s campaign, we were thrilled. Finding out that the digital community voted Quick Donate as one of this year’s best innovations in Mashable’s Innovation Index is just icing on the cake.
The Innovation Index celebrates recent tech, digital, and social innovations that have made a major impact in the world. Comprising 15 categories, the Innovation Index selected an industry expert to nominate 5 game changers in their field. For Politics and Government, Chris Hughes of Facebook and The New Republic fame chose Obama for America’s use of Quick Donate as one of the nominees.
Mashable then asked its readers to vote and after a few weeks and more than 22,000 votes, Quick Donate stood in the winner’s circle with HuffPost Live, Instagram, Google Glass, and other great tech innovations.
We have begun to use Quick Donate for other clients, like Partners In Health, the NAACP, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angles, and it continues to be a very successful fundraising tool.
