Royal College of Nursing Launches “Frontline First” Campaign
The NHS in the UK is undergoing some significant cuts to the health care system, while aiming to protect frontline services at the same time. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN), a BSD client, just launched its UK-wide "Frontline First" campaign, which empowers nursing staff to speak out against the cuts that impact patient care, to expose where they see waste, and to highlight innovations and new ideas.
RCN has tasked BSD with building them a site that allows them to use their members to crowdsource information on what is really happening in hospitals up and down the country to help them stand up for their members and patient care. In addition, professionals can submit their ideas to work more efficiently. RCN will collect the best ideas and share best practices to help improve patient care.
The site features an interactive map showing reports from around the UK, tools to spread the word on the campaign, as well as a blog with the latest news and developments from the "Frontline First."
The campaign has already received recognition in several national news outlets, such as The Guardian and BBC.
Stay tuned for more updates on "Frontline First" as RCN continues to tackle health care issues of national importance head-on.
