BSD Employees Give Back

It's no secret that BSD's clients fight the good fight. They work tirelessly to feed hungry children, improve health all over the globe, and even stop global warming.

Inspired by their work, Blue State's D.C. office decided to give back to our community – right here in the nation's capital. We organized a clothing drive and gave the goods directly to a local organization, the DC Coalition for the Homeless (DCCFH).

BSD employees purged their homes and closets, donating winter wear to DCCFH's efforts to help homeless and at-risk residents get back on their feet. The DCCFH is a direct provider of services to the homeless, operating 13 program facilities for men, women, and children across Washington. Our clothing drive was so successful, the folks at DCCFH had to come with a van to pick up our contribution!

I think this might be a new BSD-DC tradition. But the Coalition for the Homeless has outposts in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and even London – so we challenge our other offices to get involved too.
