Blue State Digital Clients Win Eight Golden Dot Awards
This morning, the Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet announced the recipients of the 2009 Golden Dot Awards and Blue State Digital clients received eight of the awards.
Walmart Watch was recognized as the best issue/advocacy blog – wrapping up a successful award season for them – they also won a Pollie in a similar category.
Obama for America was the big winner of this year’s Golden Dots – winning seven of the 22 possible awards:
- Technology Impact Moment of the Year (Democrat) – Obama for America’s VP announcement
- Online Politician of the Year (Democrat) – Barack Obama
- Most Networked Campaign (Democrat) – Obama for America
- Outstanding Online Campaign (National) – Obama for America
- Best Website (Federal Candidate) – Obama for America
- Best Online Campaign – Obama for America
- Best Online Get-Out-the-Vote Campaign – Obama for America, Neighbor to Neighbor
The awards will be presented at the 2009 Politics Online Conference on Monday and Tuesday in Washington D.C. Blue State Digital founding partner Joe Rospars will be speaking on a keynote panel at the conference. Several other BSDers will be speaking on panels – including Sam Graham-Felsen, Ian Koski, Mark Skidmore, Scott Zumwalt and Dave Leichtman.
