Bill Cosby Virtual Town Hall Tonight

Here's a last-minute opportunity to check out a fun and interesting event: Starting at 7:00 PM EST, Bill Cosby will be holding a virtual town hall streamed live on the Internet.

The event, titled "A Conversation About the Crisis Confronting our People," will feature Mr. Cosby and the members of the band the Cosnarati fielding all types of questions via Twitter — and playing a few songs from their new album. Tune in to watch the event here, or tweet your question to @billcosby.

The Bill Cosby team is now working with Blue State Digital to organize the Bill Cosby community around this town hall and promote the new hip-hop album State of Emergency, a collaboration between Cosby and the Cosnarati. State of Emergency features music from the Cosnarati and socially conscious lyrics penned by Cosby himself.

Said Cosby about the album: "I don't like referring to the music as 'clean.' What I like is what you're not going to do. You're not going to curse. You're not going to put women down. You're not going to put the glory of the gun somewhere. And you're not going to put a whole lot of violence up front like that's the thing that will cleanse you and make you feel better."

Producer and longtime Cosby collaborator William "Spaceman" Patterson concurs: "We want people to receive State of Emergency the way we made it: as a gift, an opportunity for dialogue between children and parents, and an alternative to the cookie-cutter sound that's out here. Hopefully, we can tear down some walls and be part of the solution, not the problem."
