An Ode to System Administrators

They are the masters of the server, maintainers of load balancers and monitors of web traffic.

They talk in a veritable alphabet soup of acronyms, abbreviations and technospeak.

They are the men and women who fix problems 24/7/365 when others get ambitious and think they can solve a minor glitch - breaking everything instead.

They are the postmasters of email, the architects of networks and the security guards of websites.

They have a job description that is Latin to even the savviest of online professionals.

They are, in the fullest sense, true men (and women) of genius.

Today is SysAdmin Appreciation Day. So, here at Blue State Digital we want to give a big thanks to all of our System Administrators - Leigh, Adam, Conner, Cheyenne and Dan.

Without the hard work of these five people, the rest of our efforts at Blue State Digital would be rendered completely meaningless.

Live it up today, BSD SysAdmins, because tomorrow we'll be calling you at 3AM, asking you to fix our mistakes again.
