250,000 Say: The Game is in US

Zero to 250,000 (and growing) in just four months.

In less than four months, more than 250,000 Americans have pledged their support for the U.S. Bid for the 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup™ by signing the petition at GoUSABid.com.

In an email earlier this week, Landon Donovan encouraged supporters to keep up the fight:

"The FIFA World Cup™ is by far soccer's biggest stage. Nothing else comes close. I'm thrilled so many fans like you have signed on to help us win the honor of hosting this tournament. If this movement keeps growing like it has over the past three months, we'll be able to send FIFA a powerful message in support of our bid."

The U.S. Bid Committee is seeking to host the FIFA games in 2018 or 2022, and is working with BSD to build real grassroots support in communities across the country. That's why they've built individual pages for each of the potential host cities, and are working with local officials on the ground to spread the word about getting the World Cup back in the states.

If you haven't signed the petition yet, add your voice to this homegrown movement that just keeps getting bigger:
