BSD is defining President Bush’s legacy
Americans United for Change has a history of taking dramatic actions to make a point. (Having someone put on a gorilla suit and follow Senator Rick Santorum around Pennsylvania, asking "Why are you trying to monkey around with Social Security?" at every public appearance as Santorum's aides tried to keep the exchanges off camera, comes to mind.)
This year, Americans United for Change is thinking bigger. They're determined to ensure that the legacy of President George W. Bush is remembered for what it really was: one debacle after another. And they're literally taking that message on the road with them -- in a converted bus.
It's called the Bush Legacy Bus, and it's basically a traveling museum with exhibits on Iraq, Katrina, the environment, the economy, and more. You can check it out for yourself at www.bushlegacytour.com.
Since the BSD Strategy Team works with Americans United for Change on a daily basis to help spread its message, we've become a big part of the Bush Legacy Project.
As we got started, our challenge was twofold:
- How do we make sure the bus tour can generate useful online content over the next five months?
- How do we make sure that the Web site fully reflects what the tour is trying to achieve?
Both of these require some creative thinking... which we can't really reveal until the tour officially kicks off at the end of June. But suffice it to say that the whole project is very cool. You can keep up with the developing program at www.bushlegacytour.com. If you sign up to stay in the loop, you'll get a heads up when the full site goes live, and a host of other insider benefits.
