The response was overwhelming: In just over six weeks, the commission received more than a thousand essays. Earlier this week, the commission announced the winners.

Inspired by their work, Blue State's D.C. office decided to give back to our community – right here in the nation's capital. We organized a clothing drive and gave the goods directly to a local organization, the DC Coalition for the Homeless (DCCFH).
The Commission on Smart Global Health posed the question, “What is the most important thing the United States can do to improve global health over the next 15 years?” You responded.
