After two members of the fascist British National Party won seats in the European Parliament last month, BSD client Hope Not Hate started collecting names and faces for a petition proclaiming that their election was "not in my name." Hope Note Hate released a video that compiled all of the names and faces on a standalone site, NotInMyName.tv, encouraging viewers share it on Twitter and upload their own picture.... more

Alternate Universe: Blue State Digital and the Superhero Elections

This week, Blue State Digital lent a hand at NOI's Bootcamp 2009. As part of their training, all of the attendees were split up into groups, where they ran mock campaigns for superheroes in their bid for DC Mayor. Three of the eight mayoral candidates - Superman, The Green Lantern and The Atom - built full campaign websites with Blue State Digital's tools. They then used our advocacy platform to sign up new supporters, invite friends to join their cause, and mass mail their voters for Friday's election.... more

Its most recent local campaign might be its biggest yet: activating populations in the three biggest cities in the U.S.: New York, Chicago and LA (where Wal-Mart has almost no stores, but is looking now to start building).
