The United Jewish Communities/Jewish Federations of North America recognized a need to highlight the diversity of activism and problem-solving in communities across the U.S. and Canada, so they decided to partner with BSD to launch the Jewish Community Heroes campaign. A Jewish Community Hero can be anyone - a student running bake sales for charity, a teacher building a school for the underserved, an entrepreneur donating services to neighborhood development. After two members of the fascist British National Party won seats in the European Parliament last month, BSD client Hope Not Hate started collecting names and faces for a petition proclaiming that their election was "not in my name."
